"The two new pieces of art by Artist Susan Olmetti represent a departure of sorts from her pop-oriented abstracts. The two links between the two desperate pieces actually introduce a installation of the mind. Since both of these pieces are separate entities in their own right, together they tie in the intent of the artist. That being the case each piece fills the needs of the other.

Miss Justice Friend is the title of the first piece, a piece that perhaps represents an alter-ego for Olmetti. Miss Justice Friend is a hand painted mannequin dressed eloquently in hand designed attire. The delicate and beautiful Miss Justice Friend now acts as a vehicle in which Olmetti approaches her painting Little Lady, a 40x40" square canvas in which the ground is an undulating field of poured enamel in pastel blues and pinks not bordering on the look of confection but rather of a marvelous eutruscal wall that has been unearthed now revealing itself as a secret unconverted in the center of this field of color emerges a porcelain head of a beautiful woman which reminds one of David or Boucher looking downwards.

The downward glance of this figure is so stirring and compelling as to lead the viewer to enter into a communion with this glance, a sense of loneliness bordering on timelessness would lead one into a contemplative state. As a piece of artwork a surreal gem."
